Business Opportunity Discovery
|
While useful features are being added rapidly to
Smart Events
we are setting up the scene for a B2B opportunity-discovery solution focused on business meetups.
|
|
01 — A call or meetup
Appeal from the founder
As the founder of Any.Company, I have been learning about your company through publicly available information.
Our product is still evolving, so rather than making assumptions, I would like to learn more about one of your products or services that could benefit from location tracking or incremental consent.
|
|
|
|
A short conversation or meetup with the appropriate person in your organisation would be extremely valuable.
The goal is simple: understand a real problem first, then explore whether we can build something useful around it.
|
|
03 — Smart Events
Engaging communities beyond events
Smart Events is our current public-facing focus.
It is being developed for organisations that need more than a ticketing or registration page.
|
|
Core capabilities
|
|
• QR-based visitor and participant flows
• Event check-in
• Participant tracking
• Optional location and presence
• Incremental consent
• Multiple personas
• Private and organisation-managed events
• Event agendas
• Voting and feedback
• Event advertising
• Sponsors
• Participant discovery
• One-to-one meetings
• Data export
|
|
|
The important distinction is control.
An organiser can define what an event needs.
A participant can decide what they are
willing to share. The system can therefore
support a simple event with no location
tracking, or a more advanced event where
proximity, arrival or participant discovery
is useful.
Organisations can also retain control of
their event records, apply retention rules
and export their data.
|
|
04 — The interesting part: incremental consent
Consent does not have to be all or nothing.
This is one of the areas where we see
significant potential. Consider a
participant at an event. They may be
comfortable with:
|
| 1. |
Registering for the event. |
| |
| 2. |
Showing that they have arrived. |
| |
| 3. |
Being discoverable near the venue. |
| |
| 4. |
Sharing their location for a limited period. |
| |
| 5. |
Receiving an offer from an event sponsor. |
|
|
|
These are different decisions. They should
not necessarily be hidden inside one
permanent permission.
Any.Company is being designed around this
kind of progressive participation.
Our existing privacy model already supports
different location-sharing rules at persona
and group level, including event-specific
settings.
|
|
05 — Where this could become commercially useful
We are particularly interested in situations
where physical presence changes the value of
a product or service.
Examples include:
|
|
Retail
A customer approaching a location could receive a relevant, consent-based interaction.
Hospitality
Visitors could discover services, offers or other participants at the right moment.
Events
Sponsors could engage people who have actively chosen to participate.
Professional networks
Attendees could discover relevant people based on interests, availability or location.
Travel
Groups could coordinate meeting points, breaks and participant presence.
Communities
Members could discover nearby activities or people without exposing their exact location.
Business services
A company's physical visits could become a source of structured opportunity discovery.
|
|
|
These are examples, not predefined solutions.
We want to find the use case with you.
|
|
06 — Gap
Turn events to into business opportunities.
Gap is an emerging B2B concept within the
Any.Company R&D direction.
The goal is not to create another business
directory. It is to explore a more active
model:
|
|
Find the next useful business
opportunity instead of searching
through the entire market.
|
|
|
This is still an R&D direction. We are
looking for companies that can help us
determine where it has genuine commercial
value.
|
|
07 — What makes Any.Company different?
Our interaction model stand out.
The platform is intentionally broad enough to support custom requirements.
|
|
• Different personas — The same person can participate differently in different environments.
Social: Salsa events → board games → local activities
Professional: Industry events → networking → business communities
Organisational: Internal events → public events → temporary programmes
• Different identities — People can use context-specific aliases. This is useful when an organisation wants participation without requiring everyone to expose their normal public identity.
• Different levels of presence — An event can use: no location → approximate presence → proximity → controlled location sharing. The capability can therefore match the use case.
• Different lifetimes — Temporary → event-based → recurring → permanent. Temporary accounts and time-limited access are also part of the platform direction.
|
|
|
08 — Built for organisations
Turn events into company assets
We do not want an organisation to simply
rent an audience from a public social
network. The platform is designed around
organisation-controlled communities and
events. This includes:
|
|
• Organisation branding
• Access controls
• Private and invitation-only events
• Participant roles
• Temporary access
• Configurable retention
• Data export
• Participant privacy controls
• Optional location sharing
• Auditability
• Integration with external systems
|
|
|
The broader product direction is to let
organisations keep control of the community
and records they create.
|
|
09 — Why work with us?
We are small enough to adapt.
An established platform often has to protect
an existing product architecture, roadmap
and customer base. Any.Company does not have
that constraint.
|
|
A pilot can influence the product.
A customer problem can become a feature.
An integration can be designed around the
actual workflow.
|
|
This makes us particularly interested in
small, focused pilots.
We do not need to start with a large
procurement project. We can start with one
real problem.
|
|
10 — What we can provide
Landing contracts as a small company is tough
That's why we rely on excellence, agility, and competitive pricing.
|
|
• Competitive pilot pricing — Keep the initial commitment small.
• Rapid customisation — Develop around the actual business workflow rather than forcing the workflow into a fixed product.
• Third-party integration — We can build lightweight bridge integrations where they make commercial sense.
• Flexible authentication — Support different login and identity models.
• Organisation branding — Create an experience aligned with the organisation rather than presenting another generic consumer application.
• Data ownership — Export and control the data generated through the relationship.
• Event accessories — Where the physical experience needs it, we can also explore QR, NFC or other event-specific accessories.
• Direct founder involvement — During an early pilot, the person making the product can also be the person discussing the problem with you.
|
|
|
11 — Progress so far
From prototype towards real-world use
The project has moved beyond the initial
concept stage. We have:
|
|
• Run small events in real environments.
• Tested critical participant flows.
• Built event and one-to-one interaction workflows.
• Developed QR-based event flows.
• Added event agendas, voting and feedback capabilities.
• Developed participant and persona concepts.
• Built location privacy controls.
• Continued migration towards cloud infrastructure.
• Invested heavily in automated, state-machine-driven testing.
• Started planning collaborations with small businesses in London.
|
|
|
The technical foundation also draws on
substantial experience in distributed,
real-time and location-aware systems,
including large-scale tracking and
geospatial processing.
|
|
12 — What we are looking for now
We are deliberately keeping this list short.
|
|
Pilot customers
A real business problem we can test together.
Product partners
Companies with an existing service where Any.Company could add a location, event or interaction layer.
Event organisers
People who understand what actually happens before, during and after a live event.
Referrals
An introduction is valuable if you know someone who faces these problems.
Angel investment
Funding to accelerate the transition from R&D into commercial deployment.
Alternative financing
Strategic partnerships, commercial pilots or other ways of funding product development.
|
|
|
13 — The question for your organisation
I am not asking you to evaluate the whole
platform. Instead, I would like to ask one
question:
|
|
Where could knowing that someone
is physically present, nearby,
available or interested create
additional value for one of your
products or services?
|
|
|
The answer could be: customer acquisition,
retention, event engagement, sponsorship,
retail, networking, sales, operations,
safety, community management or business
discovery. Or something we have not
considered.
That is exactly why I am reaching out.
|
|
14 — Let's test one idea
If one use case comes to mind, I
would be interested in discussing
it. The first step does not need
to be a contract.
It can be a 30-minute conversation
about one product, one customer
journey or one operational
problem.
If there is no useful opportunity,
we will know quickly. If there is
one, we can define a small pilot.
|
|
|
15 — What is Any.Company?
A platform for purposeful real-world
interaction
Any.Company combines several capabilities
that are normally separated between
event-management, community, networking and
location products.
|
|
Events
Create and manage private or public events.
People
Help participants discover relevant people, conversations and opportunities.
Meetings
Support scheduled one-to-one meetings and informal meetups.
Presence
Use optional location and proximity features when they solve a real problem.
Identity
Allow different personas and aliases for different contexts.
Business
Give organisations opportunities to sponsor events, engage visitors and create location-aware interactions.
|
|
|
The current platform already supports
events, location-aware interactions,
multiple personas and different
business-oriented use cases.
