# Any.Company — User Agreement

This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Any.Company mobile application, including the Any Maps location, events, groups, documents, sponsorship and social-sharing features (together, the "App"), operated by Any.Company ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, an identity, or a persona, or by using any part of the App, you agree to this Agreement, our [Privacy Policy](../../compliance/PrivacyDocs/privacy.md), and any Group-level or Consent-fragment terms presented to you inside the App.

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

---

## 1. Who can use Any.Company

1.1 You must be able to form a binding contract in your country of residence to use the App.

1.2 Some capabilities are age-gated by design. For example, exact-location-at-distance sharing (`exactLocationAtDistance`) requires an account older than 6 months, and certain Consent Fragments define their own `ageDependencies` — a minimum number of days you must already hold another consent before a new capability unlocks. Where the App tells you that you are "not eligible" for a feature, that restriction is part of this Agreement and is not negotiable through support channels.

1.3 You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, your identities, and any persona you create.

---

## 2. Accounts, Identities and Personas

2.1 An **identity** is the record the App and other members recognize you by inside a specific context (a group, an event, a chat). A **persona** is an alias you create to present yourself differently across contexts.

2.2 You may hold multiple identities/personas, but you may not use them to impersonate another real person, to evade a removal or suspension, or to circumvent consent, blocking, or flagging decisions made against another one of your identities.

2.3 You are responsible for keeping any device-level secrets (API keys for social sharing, Protected Locations, local credentials) safe. We cannot recover data that is stored only on your device — see Section 7.

---

## 3. Groups, Events and Organisers

3.1 Groups are created and administered by their organisers ("Organisers"). Organisers may configure rules that apply inside their Group, including document permission levels, consent requirements to join or to chat, custom location-sharing licences, event agendas, and sponsorship terms.

3.2 **Group-level settings take priority over your personal (Persona-level) settings** wherever the App says so — this is most significant for location privacy (Section 6) and consent (Section 5). By joining a Group you accept that its Organiser-defined rules may be stricter, or in some respects more permissive to other members, than your personal defaults.

3.3 Organisers are independent of Any.Company. We provide the platform; Organisers are responsible for the events, activities, and in-person conduct they run using it. We are not a party to, and do not guarantee, any in-person meeting, event, sponsorship arrangement, or transaction between users.

3.4 Where an action requires Organiser approval (`approveOnDownload`, `approveOnDelete`, `approveOnShare` on a document, or membership/consent gating on a Group), you acknowledge that your request may be reviewed by a human Organiser before it takes effect, and may be declined.

---

## 4. Location Sharing

4.1 Any.Company is built around **optional, layered location sharing**. Nothing about your location is shared with other members unless you (or, where permitted, your Group's configuration) enable it.

4.2 **Suspend / Resume.** You may suspend location sharing for any Group at any time. Suspension takes effect as described in the app (a suspend timestamp later than the last resume timestamp means sharing is off).

4.3 **Accuracy tiers.** Depending on your settings and your Group's settings, other members may see: nothing, an approximate distance, your exact distance from an event, or your exact coordinates. These tiers are controlled by the `exactLocationAtDistance`, `exactNearLocation`, `nearbyMeters` and `offsideMeters` controls described in the app and in our [Help Guide](UserHelp.md).

4.4 **"Meet & Chat".** When you advertise yourself as open to "Meet and chat", you are choosing to temporarily raise your visibility: **all other options except Protected Locations are ignored**, and any user may see your exact location when you are within 200 metres of your declared meeting point, for the duration you set. This is advisory, not compulsory attendance — you may leave, decline to show, or end the session ("Suspend") at any time. You are solely responsible for assessing your own safety before and during a Meet & Chat session; Any.Company does not vet, chaperone, or guarantee the identity or intent of any other user.

4.5 **Protected Locations.** Locations you mark as protected are stored **only** in your device's secure local storage. They are never transmitted to our servers, are not backed up, are not shared between your devices, and are lost if you log out, uninstall the App, or switch devices — you must reconfigure them on each device. Near a Protected Location, the App withholds your live position and continues to report your last position recorded before you entered its radius. You are responsible for setting your own Protected Locations correctly and on every device you use.

4.6 Group Organisers may define a custom location-sharing licence for their Group. If you do not agree to it, the global licence in this Agreement and our Privacy Policy applies instead.

---

## 5. Consent Management

5.1 Certain capabilities in a Group (joining, chatting, being shown to others, being shown your distance or exact location) are gated behind **Consent Fragments** that Organisers assemble into Group Consent requirements. When you join a Group or take a gated action, you will be shown a consent request listing each requirement, what accepting enables, and what declining prevents.

5.2 Consent may be **required** (you cannot proceed without it) or optional. Required items are marked and explained before you can decline them.

5.3 Consent has a validity window (`validFor`). When it expires, it is treated as not given until you re-confirm it. Re-agreeing resets the validity window.

5.4 You may **revoke** consent at any time from the Consent Overview page. Revoking a required consent may remove you from the associated Group, chat, or capability. You may also **suspend** a consent — data tied to it stops being used without deleting the consent record — as a "thinking it over" state distinct from outright revocation.

5.5 You can request **deletion** or a **copy (download)** of data tied to a specific consent from the consent detail screen. Requests are logged with a timestamp and status and may require processing time; some requests may need Organiser review before completion.

5.6 Consent decisions are recorded against your identity, the Group/Event/other user they relate to, and the dialogue they were made in, so you and Organisers can audit what was agreed, when, and how explicitly.

---

## 6. Documents

6.1 Content you upload to a Group's document library remains yours, but by uploading it you grant the Group's members and Organiser the licence needed to store, display, and act on it according to the permission levels you or the Organiser set (`canList`, `canView`, `canDownload`, `canRename`, `canDelete`, `canShare`).

6.2 Certain actions on a document — download, deletion, or sharing — may be configured by the document's owner or Organiser to require approval before they complete. You will be told when an action is pending review.

6.3 Deleting a document offers two distinct choices: **"Delete for me"**, which removes it from your own view, and **"Delete from everyone"**, which removes it for all members with access — use the correct option deliberately, as the latter cannot be undone by you once processed.

6.4 **Flagging.** Any member may flag a document under categories including Off-topic, Copyright, Dangerous, Privacy, False, Scam or fraud, Child safety, Inappropriate, Violence, Hate or discrimination, and Spam. Flags are recorded and may be reviewed by us or by the Organiser, and repeated or serious flags may result in removal of the content and/or action against the uploader's account.

6.5 Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates another person's privacy or safety.

---

## 7. Social Media Bridge

7.1 The App can help you post photos you capture to third-party platforms you connect (currently Facebook, LinkedIn, and X). To do so, you provide the App with an API key or authorisation token for that platform, which is stored in your device's secure storage and never transmitted to our servers.

7.2 Publishing to a third-party platform is subject to that platform's own terms of service, and once published, removal or editing is subject to that platform's capabilities and timing — Any.Company can only request deletion/editing on your behalf via that platform's API, and cannot guarantee removal.

7.3 If you choose to tag a photo with your location, that location metadata is included in the post according to your selection at posting time, independent of your in-app Location Privacy settings for Groups — review what you are about to share before confirming.

7.4 You may revoke a connected platform's key at any time; doing so requires confirmation and stops future posts to that platform, but does not retract posts already published.

---

## 8. Sponsors, Advertising Opportunities and Payments

8.1 Groups and Events may display **Sponsors**, **Sponsoring Methods**, and shared **Opportunities** (shopping, job, social, travel, meetup, and similar links). These are created by Organisers, sponsoring organisations, or members sharing a link, and are independent third parties unless stated otherwise.

8.2 Where a Sponsoring Method links to a payment page, **the payment itself is processed entirely by the third-party payment provider or platform linked**, not by Any.Company. We do not hold, process, or refund payments made through a Sponsoring Method link; disputes are between you and that provider or the receiving organisation.

8.3 Suggested and minimum sponsorship values, and the visibility "benefits" tied to a sponsorship tier (e.g., listing placement), are configured by the Group's Organiser and are not a guarantee made by Any.Company.

8.4 **Opportunities** shared via a link may be redeemable by a code and may not reference or require a user account. You are responsible for evaluating the legitimacy and safety of any opportunity before acting on it — Any.Company does not vet third-party opportunities, products, or job/travel/social offers shared by members.

---

## 9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

- Use the App to harass, stalk, or endanger another person, including by misusing location, Meet & Chat, or proximity features;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with consent, permission, or approval gates described above;
- Upload content prohibited under Section 6.5, or flagged content you know to be false, abusive, or malicious;
- Attempt to extract other users' precise location, Protected Locations, or device-stored keys through the App or its APIs;
- Misuse Sponsor, payment-link, or Opportunity features to defraud other members;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation or security of the App or its backend services.

Violation may result in warnings, feature restrictions, content removal, suspension, or termination of your account, at our discretion and, where a Group is involved, at the discretion of its Organiser for that Group.

## 10. Data, Privacy and Your Rights

Our collection, use, and retention of your data — including how location, consent, and document data are handled, how long they are retained, and how to exercise deletion and access rights — is described in full in our [Privacy Policy](../../compliance/PrivacyDocs/privacy.md), available in-app, on our website, and on the App Store and Google Play data-safety pages. Where this Agreement and the Privacy Policy overlap on data handling, the Privacy Policy controls.

---

## 11. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and its underlying software are owned by Any.Company or its licensors. This Agreement does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets. You retain ownership of content you create and upload, subject to the licences described in Section 6 and Section 7.

---

## 12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

12.1 The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that location data, presence indicators, or Sync status will always be perfectly accurate or timely — network conditions, device settings, and third-party platforms can all affect accuracy.

12.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Any.Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including from in-person meetings arranged through Meet & Chat, Opportunities, or Sponsor links, or from third-party platforms you connect via the Social Media Bridge.

12.3 Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

---

## 13. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement as the App evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.

---

## 14. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate this Agreement, applicable law, or if required to protect the safety of other users. Sections 6.1, 10, 11, and 12 survive termination.
