Use this form to ask a question, make a data protection request, complain, or tell us about a suspected data breach. You do not have to use it: you can also write to us by e-mail or post (see other ways to contact us) and we handle those in the same way.

What happens next

  1. You get an automatic confirmation e-mail with a reference number.
  2. Data protection requests and complaints get a full reply within one month. If the request is complex we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you why within the first month.
  3. Suspected data breaches are assessed as a priority. Where the law requires it, we tell the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware, and tell the people affected.
  4. Other messages get a reply as soon as we can.

Complaining to the ICO

You have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at any time. The ICO recommends that you raise the issue with us first, which you can do with this form.
